On April 20^th 2011, on the opening ceremony of the 2^nd Guzhen light exhibition, the Sun Yat-sen University industry group and Guzhen people`s government have signed the contract on establishing the Sun Yat-sen University industry group (Guzhen) semi-conductor light technology research center, this is also a new model our university employs for the manufacturing, study and research collaboration between local government. Before that, the collaboration between the institution and local government usually depends on certain academy or institute as main body and it is still the first time for an enterprise to serve as carrier. This marks the new models our university has on the exploration of collaboration between university and government.
